tofino

Tofino is named for the idyllic, end-of-the-road enclave on Vancouver Island in British Colombia, Canada. In this marine haven tide pools abound, and are filled with bivalves, starfish, and sea anemones. I have been lucky to go to this awe-inspiring place with my family many times. I wanted to create a floral looking print that was actually something else, something fishy.

Though the label’s most popular pattern, it was almost cut from the first season. One I saw the first printed samples, however, I loved it—and it soon became a best seller.
